Privacy Policy
Product-specific information from the documents bundled with this app.
Bundled document version: 2026-09-12. Publisher: WebbieFourth.
This document concerns the Portraint Protection app. References to offline documents and policy screens describe screens inside the app, not this website. Other Portraint products have separate policies.
Scope and contact
This policy describes how this product handles information. Website operators, VPN providers, DNS resolvers, mail providers and platform services have their own privacy practices. For questions about your information or applicable privacy rights, contact WebbieFourth at webbiefourth@gmail.com.
On-device domain decisions
The domain-protection engine checks DNS hostnames locally against rules bundled with the app. It does not download rules at runtime or send queries to a publisher filtering service. The local DNS provider does not keep a browsing-history or per-domain query log. It does not decrypt HTTPS, read encrypted page content, insert advertisements or rewrite web pages. Blocking a domain can still change what loads.
Network communication still occurs
Permitted DNS queries are sent to a resolver. Clear Guard uses the network's ordinary DNS resolver and may override encrypted DNS settings; it does not add DNS encryption. WireGuard and OpenVPN communicate with the server in your selected profile. Tor and its bridge transports communicate with the services needed to establish Tor connectivity. Your network, resolver, VPN operator and destination services may observe information according to their roles and practices. On-device filtering does not make all networking private or anonymous.
Profiles and settings
Imported profiles, selected settings and the protection preference are stored locally. Sensitive VPN material is handled by the existing Keychain-backed storage. Protection's app and its own extensions use a shared App Group for the data they need to work together. Browser and AppleTV product storage remains separate. Removing an app may not remove every Keychain item or system VPN configuration; use the available profile controls and system settings when managing those records.
Counters and diagnostics
Traffic and blocked-query counters are displayed locally; the traffic panel does not upload analytics or keep a traffic-history database. Diagnostic output can contain connection state, timestamps, profile labels, server or resolver addresses and error details. Development and operating-system logs can persist independently of the visible counters. Review diagnostic text before sharing it and do not send private keys, passwords or complete sensitive profiles.
Support and third parties
Opening these policy screens makes no network request. If you choose to email support, your mail provider and the support inbox receive the information you send. Do not include information unnecessary for the request. The publisher does not use browsing activity to sell advertising or build marketing profiles. Contact support with access or deletion requests relating to information you have sent us. Apple distribution, device diagnostics and third-party network services have their own practices.
Your controls and changes
Protection is optional. Turning Clear Guard off releases its local DNS interface. Existing VPN/Tor domain protection has separate provider-confirmed controls and a remembered choice. You can manage imported profiles without sending them to the publisher. Rules and this policy are revised through app updates. Contact the email below with privacy questions or requests; this policy does not limit rights provided by applicable law.
